Dr Sarah Johnson

Dr Sarah Johnson is a fellow of the RACGP.

She has chosen to specialize in skin cancer medicine.

She has an advanced certificate of skin cancer medicine from the Australasia Collage of Dermatology

She is currently working on a Masters of Skin Cancer Medicine through the University of Queensland.

Dr Sarah has had an interest in surgery since starting Medical School. A student placement in a hybrid GP/skin cancer clinic led to her pursuing a career in general practice with a view to working in the skin cancer industry.

She spend several years working in surgical departments in tertiary hospitals across Australia prior to going into GP training.

She trained as a registrar in several GP clinics including Aldinga Medical Center (now ProHealthCare Aldinga) and Bedford Medical Clinic / Molechecks.

She undertook practical training in skin cancer work at Molechecks and SunDoctors Glenunga.

She worked at the Health Hub Family GP in Glenelg, working with Partnered Health to try and establish their first Molescan clinic in SA.

She currently works part time at ProHealthCare Aldinga offering skin checks and skin cancer management south of Adelaide.

In 2025 she made the decision to follow her dream of opening her own skin cancer clinic.

She enjoys teaching and hopes that over time she can offer training and support to other GPs, nurses and Melanographers. In the future she would like to be involved in further skin cancer research and hopes to find the time to publish some skin cancer related articles.

In her spare time she enjoys 3d printing and has designed and printed several pieces of equipment she uses in her everyday work.

She also loves to embroider and has won multiple prizes for her embroidery at the Royal Adelaide Show. She usually has some of her pieces on display around the office.
